SUMMARY OF MAIN PROJECTS

Area Date Description of Project Borneo Island (Malaysia Republic) 2015-2016 Three projects in Batu Niah, Limbang and Klias, in three different areas of Borneo, with microbial and gas analysis from C2 to C20. More than 4,400 samples. The projects were completed in four months. The areas are: jungle, palm plantations, banana plantations and cities. Republic of Congo (MKB Mengo) 2014 A 3D project of more than 120 square kilometres. The area is forest, savannah, and eucalyptus tree plantation. Two rivers cross the prospect. Three oil pipelines, one salad water pipeline, and one railway affect the seismic acquisition. Many villages, one factory that process the tree, a nursery of tree was source of big noise in the project Republic of Congo (MKB Kundji) 2013 A 3D project of 120 square kilometres. The area is jungle and savannah. In the middle of the project there is a big oil field, with a base and two platforms in production. Republic of Congo (Mayombe) 2011 - 2012 Big 2D project of around 400 lineal kilometres. This project has a lot of problems as: signal so weak, line crossed villages and city and many noise sources: highway, train rail, platform, local peoples working with chainsaw, rainy season, windy days, river inside project, etc. The area is jungle, mush, lake and mountain.  Orlando worked in the design of the project, helps the petroleum company for to write the contract and was de QC and Client Representative for whole time of operation (seven months). Indonesia (North Kakap) 2010 A project off shore in South China Sea. Collected 5 types of samples for 4 different laboratories. Sudan (Higly) 2010 Project Manager and Operation Manager of one project with more than 6,000 samples. Bad weather (hot and star the rainy season). Security problems. Jungle and savannah. Ethiopia (Ogaden0 2009 - 2010 Big 2D projects in Petronas Blocks 12, 16 and 15 & Kalub 3D and Hilalah 3D. The projects were cancelled at 70% of the acquisition for security problems. MOZAMBIQUE (Palma-Pemba) September – November 2008 More than 7,000 samples at different depths.  Forest area with a very dangerous wild life. Besides the study of microbes and gas, samples of gas were collected in more than ten water wells drilled by the petroleum company in the area and I did the study and analysis of potable water of all those wells for the different local communities. POLAND (Baltic Sea) BLOCK 22 - 28 -101 June – July 2008 Microbial and Geo Chemical prospect. More than 800 samples in the Baltic Sea, picking up with bad weather. POLAND (Baltic Sea Wolin) April 2008 Microbial and Geo Chemical prospect. More than 600 samples in the Baltic Sea, picking up with bad weather. SUDAN (Adar-Malut-Palouge) 2008 A long project will be completed in some years. The main problem is the intense rain, for this reason it is not possible work more than five months every year. The area is savannah with part of rivers and mud, but it changes significantly with the season. POLAND (Baltic Sea Blocks 8 and 28) 2007 Microbial and Geo Chemical prospect. More than 400 samples in the Baltic Sea, picking up with bad weather. ALGERIA (Hassi  Ba Hamou) 2007 A project of four blocks in the area of El Golea and Hassi  Ba Hamou, in the Sahara desert. The terrain: desert with sand dunes and some lines inside the agriculture areas of El Golea. OMAN (Darfur) June – July and Extensive 2D Land Seismic campaign over Blocks 69 and 71 (This project continues but has been delayed by local contract discussions) Sept – Nov 2006 ETHIOPIA (Gambella) March – April 2006 This was the continuation and eventual completion of original survey over large concession in Gambela National Park Region of Ethiopia.   The project commenced in October 2004, and Elia worked as the QC Supervisor for on two of the original periods, and again to the completion in April 2006.   The project was a 2D survey, using dynamite. SYRIA (Omar) Nov 2005-Feb 2006 High Resolution 3D Land Seismic Survey in Omar Concession.   The project was a 24 hour operation, and Orlando worked as part of a two man team from the commencement in November 2005, until being relieved in February 2006. ETHIOPIA (Gambela) January – February Large Project covering extensive concession in Gambela National Park Region of Ethiopia.   The project commenced in October 2004, and Elia worked as the QC Supervisor for two periods from mid January-end February, and again from early April until first phase completion at end May.   The project was a 2D survey, using dynamite. April – May 2005 MEXICO (Tamaulipas) 2004 Large Project of 60,000 VP’s. The project employed three BGP crews.   Elia worked as party chief on one crew and operations coordinator for the other two crews. The concession was largely agricultural so there were problems encountered with permitting.  In additional rain slowed down production. Three Sercel 408 recording systems, and 15 I/O vibrators of 62000-pound force were used on the survey. IRAN (Fars) 2003 Client representative on one 3D project with vibrators.   Project conducted in the desert in summer with temperatures as high as 55°C, causing problems at times during acquisition. ARGENTINA (Salta and Formosa provinces) 2003 Party Manager on six projects with a mix of both dynamite and vibrators.  Parts of the surveys required heliportable techniques. The Pilcomayo river ran across the middle of one of the survey areas. The terrain over the whole region was forest, and jungle. ARGENTINA (Mendoza - Neuquén region) 2002-2003 Party Manager for two heliportable projects using dynamite.   Large number of penetration problems due to volcanic surfaces. IRAN (Persian Gulf) 2002 Field processing of 3D marine seismic data. Project was recorded with a long offset of two kilometres, and then spliced to similar project with a short offset recorded earlier. BOLIVIA (Tarija – Chuquisaca) 2001 Client representative on one of the largest seismic projects ever recorded in Bolivia over mountains, and jungle.   Due to time constraints on survey completion, and the difficult terrain, the crew comprised 1,800 people, 40 drilling groups, 3 camps and 70 camp fly. ECUADOR (Coca) 2001 Client representative for one heliportable 3D project using explosives.  Difficult mountainous, and jungle terrain, hampered by heavy rain. ARGENTINA (Santa Cruz) 1999 Quality control, field data processing and 3D Pre Planning for a project in the “Los Perales” oilfield in the Province of Santa Cruz, Argentina. Difficult acquisition due to the presence of over 3,000 producing oil wells.  The contractor was Union Geofísica, Argentina using I/O system II MRX recording system.  Purpose of the survey was to find additional potential oil pockets so the field owners, YPF-Repsol, could enhance production. Throughout the survey permanent communication was maintained with production personnel to request shutdown of compressor plants and mechanical pumps to minimize environment noise.   Fold recuperation was also a problem. BOLIVIA (Tarija, Chiquitos, Santa Cruz, Chuquisaca) Maxus Bolivia Inc. Client representative for a 2D and 3D dynamite land reflection survey in Bolivia. The project was a joint venture with three other companies, Petrobras, Total, Tec Petrol, Andina, Chaco S.A.   Maxus Bolivia Inc., being the major partner and the operation enterprise, assumed the responsibility of contracting a field representative. The seismic contractors were Western Geophysical and UGA Bolivia; the recording instruments were I/O System II MRX. Theodolite conventional and GPS surveying equipment were used on the projects. The project included one unique test line of 70 kilometres, in a mountainous, forested area with experimental parameters.   From this test was determined the parameters for all future projects in the mountainous region of southern Bolivia.
