  • Design Manager - major Rail and Highways projects
  • Highly respected company with fantastic medium to long term prospects
  • Permanent salary to $170K package


The Rail sector in Melbourne is going through an unprecedented period of development, which will continue for several years.

Government stimulus has been fast tracked and major projects will be going into the design phase over the coming weeks including the $650Mill South Morang Rail extension and the $4Billion Regional Rail upgrade.

This international consultancy is looking for a Design Manager who can take the lead Interface role between the consultant and the client Project Manager.

Works will include Track, stations, signaling, interchanges and associated infrastructure. Experience in some or all of these will be required.

Duties and responsibilities:
  • B.Eng in Civil or Electricalnbsp;and at least 15 years experience on major infrastructure projects,
  • Design and Co-ordination of design teams on major Rail or road projects,
  • Experience in preparation and delivery of packages through to the construction phase of a major project
  • Exceptional client and contracts management skills, including negotiations and conflict resolution,
  • Proven record of working to defined timeframes and budgets




Experience working on alliance or JV projects will be essential.

Preference will be given to those with valid work rights for Australia. Exceptional candidates requiring business sponsorship are encouraged to apply. Full relocation to Australia will be available.
