Power Station Manager

• Ensuring that the Power Station operates at itrsquo;s highest efficiency and availability.
• Promoting safety and environmental awareness
• Ensuring all equipment is operated and maintained at a minimal cost and downtime
• Functioning as the alternative Emergency Management Team leader as required
• Ensuring that operations of both the Esperance Power Station and Kambalda to Esperance natural gas pipeline meet a high standard of safety in all aspects of maintenance.
• Being responsible for the uninterrupted and cost effective delivery of natural gas to itrsquo;s customers and the Esperance Power Station.
• The overall control of the operation and monitoring of the high-pressure natural gas system, associated facilities, SCADA systems and ancillary equipment.
• Responsibility for selecting the daily gas haulage quantity after liaison with suppliers and maintenance employees
• Supervises the actioning of any alarm conditions or emergency situation, investigating fault conditions and trend analysis of data.

• Ensuring that all safety equipment is utilized and is available in the work areas.
• Understanding and complying with safety policies and procedures.
• Ensuring a work permit system is complied with.
• Participating in safety meetings by attending general safety meetings.
• Reviewing and making recommendations on all safety suggestions.
• Complying with all co. policies and procedures and promote environmental awareness.
• Ensures operation, maintenance and repair activities are carried out in accordance with company policy, manufacturersrsquo; recommendations and good working practices.
• Interfacing on a regular basis with the Facility Managers and providing operational reports and information as requested by the Facility Manager.
• Reviewing daily reports from the Management staff on-going projects and daily work.

• A minimum of 7 yrs power station management experience
• 3 years supervisory experience
• Technical Schooling essential while power generation engine or equipment courses desirable
• Ability to understand technical literature, maintenance manuals and engineering drawings
• The posession of Australian High Voltage Licenses.
