The Project: Educational Facilities / Buildings
Founded in 1957, Al Fateh University is the largest and most respected institute of higher education in Libya. The expansion of Al Fateh includes new facilities, extensions to existing facilities and general infrastructure improvements to support the facilities upgrade.
The project consists of 2 University Campuses with 39 faculties buildings, of more than 1.6 mil sqm total built up area, interfaces and infrastructure.
Hill International provides Production of Design Management Procedures Manual and Tender Document Checklist Formulation of Consultants Agreement, Consultants Progress Review Technical Audit Team support and Construction Supervision.
Location: Tripoli- Libya (North Africa)
Qualifications & Skills
• Bs in Civil Engineering 4 years Degree.
• Very good command of the English language
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications
• Minimum 10 years of site / building experience
• Ability to carry out site inspectors, technical + drawing reviews, quality control.
• Preferable previous experience in the Gulf or N. Africa Countries
• Preferable Experience in buildings, such as schools, hotels, residential complexes etc.
• Previous experience with a Building Services Consultancy
Job Responsibilities
• Performing the function of Supervising Inspector .
• Providing opinion on project documentation in respect of construction works in his field of expertise
• Defining, agreeing and enforcing a Quality criteria for a realized project
• Continuous monitoring of construction process in relation of his field.
• Cooperation with Project Manager and Senior Resident Engineers within the framework of creating and updating of schedules and budgets.
• Salary, varies upon experience in US$ .
• Housing & transportation monthly allowances will be provided.
• Mob. – demob. air fare will be provided
• Health insurance will be provided.
• Work will be 48 hrs/week extended to 6 days (Sat. to Thu.)
• Annual leave: 30 cal. Days.
