Our Client is recognised as an international leader in the field of Ship/ FPSO/Offshore conversion projects and Offshore EPC Construction projects within the Oil & Gas Sector. With substantial projects across the globe and an ever increasing workbook within the region, they have need for an experienced and competent Commercial Manager to join their local project team.
In this role, your key responsibilities would include Contract Administration duties, building and maintaining strong commercial links with the various suppliers, protecting the company against potential claims and disputes, supporting the PM in the management of the contract, agreeing variations, agreeing contractual entitlement to payments, undertaking local cost management duties including inputting into the overall project forecast cost and monitoring works in the yard. Successful candidate will be working closely and along side with the PM team to protect our contractual and commercial interests.
To succeed in this role, it is expected that you will possess a minimum of 12 years experience involving post contracts and cost management in the offshore oil & gas sector. Candidates who have worked in a Shipyard experience will be well regarded. It is envisaged that you will possess a Degree level Qualification with good understanding in contractual laws. We seek candidate who possess excellent negotiation skills and communication skills both in written and verbal.
