WorleyParsons is offering exciting opportunities in the UAE working on the design and construction of a world class aluminium smelter This greenfield aluminium smelter complex which will be operational in 2010 with around 700,000 tonnes annual capacity. Upon completion of the project, the smelter will be the largest single site Aluminium Smelter in the world.
Primary Objective:
Develop, coordinate and manage procedures to ensure the efficient cost estimates for the EMAL Aluminium Smelter Project in the UAE, including the recording, controlling, forecasting and reporting of all cost matters.
Specific Accountabilities:
Liaise with Client accounting groups to establish a project cost estimating and reporting methodology.
Develop, implement and control the project estimating and job costing system to meet project requirements.
Responsible for project evaluations, cost/benefit analysis, cost databank management, developing and implementing business controls to minimize and mitigate project risks.
Prepares and presents conceptual, order of magnitude and detailed cost estimates for the project, together with life-cycle costing including repairs and maintenance.
Controls cost forecasts to achieve successful completion of project within the cost, quality and schedule parameters.
Presents monthly cost status reports and budgetary control reports.
Requirements
Total of atleast 10 -14 years experience in Estimation, Cost Engineering, preferrably with Aluminium Smelter or heavy industry environment in a similar or role.
Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in any Engineering faculty or in Business, Finance or Accounting.
