Our Client is recognised as a World Class Global Engineering Corporation with offices on every Continent. Their Engineering and PMC expertise covers a broad range of Industry sectors such as both Up and Downstream Oil & Gas, Mining & Minerals, Fine Chemicals, Power, Sub-Sea etc.
With the substantial growth in its operations and the planned growth to be achieved, they seek a dynamic, technically competent and commercially astute Operations Director to spearhead the growth expected in the Downstream Oil & Gas/Chemicals Sector within China.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President, your team will comprise a large number of professional engineers in technical and project management type roles. Your Key Responsibilities will be to Develop and Implement a strategic plan to grow our Clients Downstream business across China/Asia. The objective is to achieve both Revenue and EBIT targets in line with the overall Corporate Goals.
It is expected that you will be a tertiary qualified Engineer with at least 20 years post graduate experience in the Downstream Oil & Gas/Chemicals Engineering and Construction Sector. Coming from a strong engineering background and with a detailed knowledge of Downstream Processes and Infrastructure needs, you will feel comfortable in a Team and Business Development leadership role.
From a technical perspective, you will be experienced in at least one of the following areas including Petro-Chemical, Pharmaceuticals, Ammonia, Phosphate Fertilizers, Titanium Dioxide or Speciality/Fine Chemicals etc. projects and infrastructure.
Ideally a good part of your experience will have seen you intimately involved in General or Operations Management, Project Management and/or Business Development across these sectors within the China/Asia. Strong cultural awareness in working with people across the globe, particularly China/Asia will also be an asset.
