Contract to hire opportunity in a great work environment located in Atlanta for an IT Specialist that has ideally had experience working in an engineering or architectural environment to support 50-60 users at a single location for AutoCAD desktop network print/plot and general troubleshooting. This position will have a wide range of responsibilities from Tier I / II support to include end user support phone / internet support adds moves and changes printer set up etc. to high level network administration (including backup security management user account management e-mail systems including e-mail web server internet access office systems and applications support). This will include the ability to plan implement and support the network and computing infrastructure plan as well as manage small to medium sized projects according to agreed upon budgets and schedules. Qualified candidates should have a diploma in Computer Science Management Information Systems or Business Administration; supplemented with three or more courses in current technology with any additional IT certifications being considered a plus. You must have current experience as an Administrator on a medium sized network of servers desktop systems and communications devices using current technologies. A demonstrated knowledge of setting up remote access for users and an ability to administer a 100+ node network including firewalls is needed. A mastery of Microsoft Windows 2003 core technologies Citrix Active Directory DHCP DNS LDAP Security File and Print Sharing is a must. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to produce high-quality documentation and communication that is well organized consistently formatted and informative; tailored to the target audience will be needed.
