Excellent STRUCTURAL ENGINEER opportunities for power industry projects at a highly regarded engineering firm in Chicago IL. Direct Hire -- may consider Contract Status. Requires minimum of 10 years experience with solid experience in STEEL DESIGN in heavy industries preferably power plant related. Also need a CONCRETE DESIGN Engineer with the same type of industry background. Must have working experience in AutoCAD. A PLUS to have a PE License. Two positions: LEAD STEEL ENGINEER: Position will develop structural steel designs for power plant projects such as coal conveying systems power plant structures etc. Will perform calculations develop designs oversee designers and interface with the field during installation to resolve interferences and construction issues. As a Lead will also oversee and check the design of other. LEAD CONCRETE ENGINEER: Position will design reinforced concrete foundations and structures. Will perform calculations develop designs oversee designers and interface with the field during installation to resolve interferences and construction issues.
