Job Description

Excellent power plant SENIOR COST ENGINEER contract opportunity in Maryland. Projected 15+ month contract with per diem. Requires 15+ years experience in fossil power plant cost projections monitoring and controls and reporting. A PLUS to have a BS Degree in Engineering. A PLUS to have experience with FGD flue gas desulfurization. Need familiarity and ability to work with and interpret project scheduling requirements from programs such as Primavera MS Projects or equivalent. Position will provide on site cost control support including quality takeoffs from isometric drawings applying cost curves interpreting and verifying project schedule resource requirements calculating earned hours determining productivity factors tracking costs and variances cash flow EAC (estimate at completion) forecasting. and supporting development of monthly project reports for senior management. Generous package includes Salary based on qualifications directly related coal fired power plant experience and education; Per Diem; and Mobilization/Demobilization travel expenses.
