URGENT NEED FOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER IN KANSAS! Eastern Kansas energy plant seeks a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer. This is a contract position lasting 1+ years. Per Diem is available. The ideal candidate is a mechanical engineer with nuclear modifications knowledge and experience which includes piping and valve modifications and replacements. MUST HAVE: At least 2 years mechanical engineering OR Engineering degree (preferred). Nuclear plant modifications experience is strongly preferred and highly desired. Will train the right degreed candidate without experience. Experience is valued above degree and education. RESPONSIBILITIES: Write mechanical engineering modifications packages. The position has less emphasis on calculations and more on actual design change package preparation answering planning and field questions walk downs etc. The Mechanical Engineer if capable may be used during the outage as an assistant project manager or field engineer during the installation phase of the designs.
