IMMEDIATE NEED for a Network Operation Center (NOC) Technician II in the Louisville KY. area. JOB DESCRIPTION: Assist NOC I NOC Surveillance technicians and field personnel with troubleshooting support and maintenance of network elements and connections required to support the revenue generating networks. Work to provide enterprise-wide tiered support on core distribution access and HFC network elements and connections as needed. JOB DUTIES: Handle escalated trouble calls and work closely with engineering field technicians and telecommunications carriers to resolve service issues. Strong knowledge of HP OpenView Netcool or similar network monitoring platforms. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 2 + years experience with TDM and VoIP telephony networks; Experience with 5E and DMS Switching Systems which can include working in the field Switching Control Center or Tiered support. Excellent computer skills. Previous NOC experience preferred. High School Diploma or Equivalent. Cisco or equivalent certifications\degrees required.
