Great opportunity - several Satellite Field Technician openings for a direct hire position with deployment to Afghanistan and Iraq. Will consider candidates directly out of the military with applicable experience and MOS's. SUMMARY: Candidate will be responsible for the maintenance operation and performance of a Ku-Band Mobile Terminal. In order to provide a quality of service required and expected by the customer potential candidates must be able to: Assume the leadership role at their respective site with customer satisfaction as the primary goal Work with site personnel to: - Maintain satellite communication system availability above acceptable level - Troubleshoot and resolve any identified circuit or equipment outage or degradation - Provide interim reports as necessary based on particular site conditions and/or problems - Maintain the site (including electronics and office) in professional and clean manner - In general Field Support personnel shall perform the on-site duties which enable Company to successfully implement contractual duties relative to mobile terminal Operation and Maintenance. REQUIREMENT: Must have Active Secret or higher level DoD Security Clearance. Candidates for this position should have the knowledge to operate and configure the following equipment: Antenna Controller Antenna Pointing Satellite Acquisition HPA/TWT LNA/LNB - Low Noise Fiber/Coax/Ethernet Cable Work FDMA modems (DMD20's - Radyne) Up-converters Down-converters Satellite modems PBX - T1/E1 FXS Adds/Drops Successful candidates for these positions will be hands on people.
