IMMEDIATE OPPORTUNITY with one of the fastest growing school districts in the state of Georgia located north of Atlanta. Client is searching for a TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST to join their team on a contract basis for 6 months or more. The candidate will provide technical support for the school district to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness of the districts advanced technology equipment and systems. The Tech Support Specialist must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and at least 1 year of professional experience providing hardware and software technical support in a network environment. Additional certifications from Comptia Microsoft and HP are a plus. The candidate must have experience with microcomputers Windows 9x 2000 NT and XP in an Active directory environment and supporting associated peripherals and equipment. In addition advanced knowledge and experience troubleshooting hardware software driver and network connectivity issues is essential for this position. Experience with large-scale rollouts of computing equipment and software is preferred. Experience with wireless Ethernet maintenance and repair of laser printers LCD projectors and a basic understanding of Ethernet connectivity are a plus. Understanding of the basic concepts of cabling wall jacks patch panels patch cables fiber jumpers data switches etc. are essential for this position. Pay rate is commensurate with experience.
