Our client has a requirement for a Senior Electrical Engineer, based in Grangemouth.

Senior Electrical Engineer working in the Oil & Gas industry required to work primarily on a portfolio of Substation and Switchgear Replacement Projects.

Min. Qualifications – HNC/ HND in Electrical Engineering or related subject.

Preferred Qualifications – Degree in Electrical Engineering, MIEE/ Chartered Engineer.

Essential Experience - experience in electrical engineering preferably within a petrochemical, chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Experience as Lead Engineer on large projects supervising engineers and designers of mixed experience and capabilities and managing man-hour budgets. Experience in the design of power distribution systems and specification of electrical distribution equipment is required. Must be motivated and self-sufficient together with ability to work with minimal supervision and capable of identifying and developing project wide design deliverables with familiarity of the interpretation of appropriate national & international industry standards.

Desired Experience- As above plus specific experience involving some of the following – oil and gas or chemical or pharmaceutical industry projects, HV/LV switchboard packages, serial communications, use of Variable Speed Drives and CIE tools. Experience in developing feed studies for Electrical Generation and Switchgear Packages would be an advantage.
