Working as a R&D Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the research and development of C / C++ software (Switchgear and Controllers) for both existing and new products. Experience Required: - Tertiary degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- 3+ years experience, in writing Embedded Software using the C / C++ language.
- Sound knowledge of software design methodology such Object Oriented and Model Driven Design.
- Proficient in software specifications, design, analysis and testing.
- A background in Linux and RTOS development on embedded platforms.
- Linux administration and able to customise and build the Linux .kernel.
- Extensive experience in writing software device drivers.
The role: - Produce and participate in the production of software specifications based on requirements of stakeholders including customers, marketing, sales, and service.
- Design, develop and test C++ software to meet specifications and quality requirements.
- Production of software test procedures and software utilities to ensure software produced is fully tested and of a high standard.
- Provide technical support to Operations, Quality, Sales, Service, and Marketing Departments.
- Contribute suggestions and actively participate in software improvements.
Produce test plans and procedures to ensure software is fully tested to a high standard.

- Solid Commercial Acumen - relating to the Energy Domain useful
