Primary Responsibilities
• Lead a globally distributed marketing team comprised of Business Development, Product Marketing, Outbound Marketing and Customer Support
• Own the product line’s order performance against targets and plans
• Personally engage and interact with our worldwide field sales organization. Partner with the sales teams to ensure sales funnels grow and convert to orders.
• Build relationships with strategic customers worldwide to understand long term customers and technology trends and further establish the N2X in these accounts
• Drive our outbound marketing team to create marketing communications plans, messaging and demand creation objectives to grow our business
• Understand and analyze market trends, technology trends, customer business issues and solution requirements to drive short and long term product line strategy
• Reinforce and improve customer-focused needs assessment and competitive analysis to develop strong product portfolio in support of value proposition
• Use customer and regional input to develop detailed product definitions which clearly differentiate our solution
• Establish best in class product portfolio and product definition processes and procedures
• Work closely with distributed R&D teams to make appropriate tradeoff decisions between long and short term priorities
• Provide direction, coaching and development to create a world class marketing organization
• Establish product positioning and pricing strategies
• Work with the NDS Business Unit Marketing Manager to drive the creation of and improvement in “closed loop” measures of marketing effectiveness
• Represent Agilent as an industry spokesperson
Qualifications
Educated to at least university degree level or equivalent, you’ll bring extensive experience at a similar level, from which you can demonstrate industry experience of integrating the resources of complex departments or functions. This is where your specialist knowledge, influential leadership ability and solutions-oriented approach will thrive. The position requires:
• B.S. Degree in Engineering, MBA preferred
• 10 to 15+ years progressive experience in Marketing (, product definition and portfolio planning)
• Demonstrated experience managing a Marketing Group greater than 25 people in size
• Experience in the Telecommunications/wireless industry strongly preferred
• Demonstrated track record of results, with an emphasis of achievement of business growth
• Experience leading portfolio planning and product definition processes

Successful candidate will lead a global team and will report directly to the General Manager. Location for this position is Vancouver, BC, Canada or Melbourne, Australia
