May I introduce myself as a result oriented 'QHSE Specialist with a B.Tech. degree in Chemical Engineering and PG Diploma in Marketing and Sales Management. I have attended Masters in Administration Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management, Mumbai.
I am a certified Auditor with IRCA, London in ISO 9001-2000 QMS trained by CII and also in ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) trained by M/S. Nivelle Clark of London, for OHSAS 18001 by BVQI, Kuwait.
I have around twenty five (25) years Oil/petroleum Industry experience in reputed organizations in Oil Industry in India and abroad. Presently I am working as Technical & QHSE Auditor with my present employer.
Previously during 2003-05 employed as 'QHSE Specialist' actively involved in implementation of ISO 9001-2000 in Projects Department at Kuwait National Petroleum Company which was certified recently by M/S. BVQI and also company wide implementation of Safety, Health and Environmental Management System (SHEMS) at KNPC.
During the year 2002 I worked for an Industrial and Environmental Services Company in the field of QHSE management at Abu Dhabi, UAE. My responsibilities include preparation of method statements, QHSE matters, Training on Quality and Environment, routine safety inspections at site, Periodical progress reports on QHSE to top management.
During the year 2001 I was selected as HSE Inspector for Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority where many small and medium size industries are located in JAFZA at Dubai Port Authority. I could serve in HSE role including HAZMAT operations and ISO 14001 EMS implementation. Subsequently Dubai Port Authority was certified under ISO 14001 EMS.
During the year 1999, I have rendered services as a Consultant cum Site Coordinator to Qatar Petroleum erstwhile QGPC for design of a Hazardous Waste Treatment Centre (HWTC) through a Canadian Company M/S. Conestoga Rovers Associates at Doha. As a part of my assignment I have visited all the companies situated in Mesaieed Industrial City at Qatar for survey and inventorisation of various kinds of process wastes generated by all the industries in MIC.
Fulfilling the work to the highest level with clear and comprehensive vision of scientific and management problems, tackling challenges requiring highest professional standards, addressing issues with tact, gentleness, understanding and professionalism are my assets.
As mentioned above I possess hands-on experience in developing ISO systems, oil spill / emergency contingency plans, environmental control plans, conducting EHS audits & training, identification of major environmental concern areas and environmental management programs, liaison with statutory bodies, monitoring of ambient air quality, stack emission, solid waste disposal and waste water treatment, process evaluations in EHS perspective, design of safety/health/environmental protection & loss prevention systems, incidents investigation & follow up. Also advising the management on new environmental laws/regulations (National & International) and well versed in the study of PIDs, PFDs, and process optimizations for source emission control methods etc.
