Summary |
At present I am working with BEMCO at their project “ West Bay District Cooling Scheme Plant -II ” located in Diplomatic Area Doha. My responsibilities are the Installation of the following equipment as well as the supervision of testing and commissioning:
11KV Switch Gears, 3.3 KV Switch Gears, 3.3 KV Soft Starters, 415 V MCC’s, 11KV/415 V Power Transformers, 11KV/3.3 KV Power Transformers, 11KV/3.3 KV Neutral Grounding relays, Isolation Transformers 150 KVA, Bus Duct, Cable Trays, Trunking Instrumentation and Control, UPS, Batteries and Battery Charger, Internal and External Lighting, Variable Frequency Drives for Cooling Towers and Secondary Chilled water pumps, Reduced Voltage Soft Starters, Lightning protection, Grounding system.
Installation of the High Voltage, Medium Voltage, Low Voltage cables and termination of these cables.
Responsible for the timely implementation of construction schedule, timely delivery of construction materials, proper allocation of manpower & equipment.

EXPERIENCE & KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Graduate Electrical Engineer and Management qualification with 33 - years experience in planning, engineering, construction, tenders / proposals preparation, evaluation, project management plant maintenance for major and minor shutdown of the plant. Experience and responsibilities included project planning, engineering layouts, field construction, maintenance and projects on EPC basis. Experience related to construction, operation and maintenance of distribution and transmission systems . Jobs also included study, review and updating of various aspects of distribution systems, standards, guidelines, specifications, construction procedures, QA/QC plans, and other statistics.
2. Responsibilities under procurement mainly included floating of various multi-disciplinary tender inquiries including transmission lines, analysis of the technical & commercial aspects, highlighting deficiencies based on required specifications, negotiations and recommendations for final work orders and material required to carry out major and minor shutdown maintenance of the plant .
3. Having such a vast experience in various fields of engineering and construction, maintenance, Transmission Networks / Systems of 115 kV/33 kV/13.8 kV, Power Plants grid stations and have worked on planning, construction and testing & commissioning and maintenance of above projects and has excellent management and reporting qualities & skills and can lead a group of personnel or team and can operate at key posts independently with high confidentiality. Has excellent decisive power and can make decisions of day to day routine and/or critical matters.
4. Has full confidence and command in operating single or multi-disciplinary projects on EPC basis with all necessary interfaces with the clients, Business Development and Maintenance of Power Plant, 115 kV Power Transmission Lines and Sub-Stations. Follow up of tender procedures, study and analysis of bid documents, preparation and evaluation of offers, clarifications and negotiations with suppliers and preparing agreement with suppliers and sub contractors. Dealing with different equipment manufacturers, suppliers, selection and evaluation.

5. Fully conversant with computer’s knowledge and application by using Microsoft Excel /Word / MS Project programs etc.
2006 – 2007 :Working as Senior Electrical Engineer for BEMCO - Doha –Qatar.

1998 - 2006 : Worked as Construction Manager at M/S Ali H. Al Ghamdi
( Gulf Potential Ltd ) , Saudi Arabia.
1. Construction of 115kV Double circuit Overhead Transmission Line from Shoiba – Sawamlah - Leith (115Km) SECWRB Contract 79/1/21. This includes design and engineering material procurement and installation. This include coordinating with consultants for inspections, clarifications and negotiations with suppliers for the approved material, preparing agreement with sub contractors and coordinating with different agencies for smooth completion of the project also handling business development job.
2. Construction of 115kV Overhead Transmission Line from Haradh GOSP 1 - GOSP 2 (24Km) SEC ERB Contract 83456/00. This includes design and engineering materials procurement and coordinating with different departments for smooth completion of the project.
3. Construction Design and engineering materials procurement and installation of two sub-station of 115 kV at Haradh. Installation of AC/DC Panels, HVAC Panels, Fire Protection systems, Pauwels Transformers 10 MVA, Load break disconnect switches, Battery charger and Battery monitoring panels, SCADA system remote terminal units, Communication Systems FOX 515,Communication system – NMS Protek Transducers Meters and miscellaneous equipment.
4. Worked as Construction Manager for Kng Fahad Industerial Port Yanbu ,Qurrayah Power Plant 2500 MW. .Job involved maintenance of high voltage and low voltage electrical switchgear, motors, transformers, turbine, exciters, fire alarm systems and all the major and preventive maintenance of the plant.
1976 - 1998 : Worked as Electrical Engineer At WAPDA - Quetta- Baluchistan - Pakistan
I. Installation, commissioning and maintenance of 25 MW GAS Turbine and generating units.
II. Installation and maintenance of power house turbine and generating accessories
III. Installation, commissioning and maintenance of low tension equipment for power house and substations.
IV. Laying and termination of HT, LT and control cables.
V. Erection and maintenance of equipment like circuit breakers, current transformers, potential transformers, surge arresters, disconnect switches, power transformers and distribution transformers.
VI. Installation, commissioning and maintenance of solar and wind energy system in S & C housing.
VII. Coordination with all departments like planning, production, safety and consultants for smooth and timely completion of the project during extension phase of the plant and preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of the plant.
VIII. Planning and coordinating in carrying out minor and major maintenance of the plant. This included preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of the plant.
IX. Carried out electrical installations and commissioning including HT/LT switch-gears, power transformers, diesel generators, compressors, motors, pumps, power factor improvement plants, distribution networks, HT/LT cables laying and termination, grounding system, telecom systems, PLC and DCS Systems during extension phase of the plant and later on carried out maintenance of the same.
