Summary |
EMPLOYMENT HISTORY:
1) Working as Day unit Production Supervisor (since July 2000) of EDC /VCM complex with
Associated Utilities (Air Separation unit, Fired boiler, Instrument air, Refrigerated water-cooling water,
Propylene refrigeration, Incineration etc.) Of Qatar Vinyl Chemicals Ltd., Mesaieed, Qatar.
· Working in Daylight, looking after day-to-day operations, Performance monitoring, Efficiency monitoring, Shutdown /Start-up planning /coordination, Purchase coordination and inventory control of Plant Chemicals and other requirements etc., Training of Operators and Shift Foreman etc.
· Involved in this project during construction stage, commissioning, start-up and stabilization of EDC/VCM Plant /ASU/Steam Boiler/Incineartor/ Biological wastewater treatment plant/Refrigeration machines.
· Was trained for EDC technology of Vinnolit at Germany and VCM technology of Elf Atofina, at France. In September / October 2000. Trained at their respective Plants at Germany and France.
· QATAR Vinyl Co. is a joint venture between QGPC, Qatar, Norsk Hydro, Norway & TOTAL ELF ATOFINA, France to produce 230,000 MTPY of VCM, 175,000 MTPY of EDC & 290,000 MTPY of Caustic Soda.
2) Worked as Shift Supervisor [October 1998 to December 1999 ] of MTBE complex of Qatar fuel additives Company Ltd., (QAFAC) DOHA, QATAR (BUTAMER, PSA, OLEFLEX, ORU, CSP and ETHERMAX Units). Also Shift-in Charge of whole complex consisting of 2500 MTPD Methanol, 1830 MTPD MTBE plant and associated Utilities.
· I was trained in UOP MTBE process (Process, Operation and Simulator) at Des Plaines, Chicago, Illinois State, USA. Also Trained in Methanol plant Process and operations by Synetix, UK
· Involved in pre-commissioning, Commissioning and start-up of the plant.
· Involved in Training of Operators and Engineers in operation, safety and unit operations.
· Qatar Fuel Additives Co. Ltd., is a joint venture between QGPC, Qatar, Chinese Petroleum Co. Taiwan, LCY Company, Taiwan and International Octane ltd., Canada. It consists of 610,000 MTPY MTBE 800,000 MTPY Methanol and associated Utilities. Plants successfully commissioned in August 1999.
3) Worked as Shift Engineer [Between July 1993 to September 1998 ] in 2100 MTPD, MTBE Plant of M/S National Methanol Company (IBN SINA), Jubail, Saudi Arabia
· Worked as a Technical advisor, Trainer in shifts. Also involved in Production Reporting, Trouble shooting, Investigating Abnormal Incidents, convening Quality Circle meeting, writing Standard Operating Procedures, Training manuals, Operator qualification manuals, Tester for Qualification of Operators and Supervisors etc.,
· MTBE Plant complex consisted of its own Utilities section, Tank Farm Isomerisation unit (UOP licenser), Dehydrogenation unit (ABB Lummus Licenser) and Etherification unit (C D Tech. Licenser). GE Gas Turbine is used as a prime mover in the plant.
· IBN SINA is a ISO 9002 certified company (50:50 joint venture between SABIC and Hoechst Celanese Co., USA) It has giant scale Methanol plant (2500 MTPD) and MTBE Plant of 700,000 MTPY, which was commissioned in May 1994. IBN SINA is adapting TQM philosophy
4) Worked as Deputy Manager (Process) [June 1992 to July 1993] in Project/Technical Services department of M/S Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd., Panambur (India).
· Involved in Revamp studies of Ammonia Plant, Urea Plant and Di-Ammonium Phosphate plant. Involved in Technical Studies of all plants, Modifications, Hazon / Hazop studies, plant Efficiency Monitoring, Catalyst performance monitoring, improving production etc., Direct contact with Licensers, vendors, suppliers etc.
5) Worked as Senior Engineer (Production) [Between July 1991 to June 1992.] in Production Department of M/S Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd., Panambur.
· Independently handled Production Planning, Raw material & Finished product handling, Inventory Control, Production Reporting, Plant Efficiency monitoring of all Plants in the complex
6) Worked as Shift Operations Engineer [Between January 1988 to June 1991]. In Ammonia Plant of M/S Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd., Panambur, India
· Overall in charge of Shift operations of Ammonia Plant and fertilizer complex.
· Trained Operators and junior Engineers in unit operations and operations of plant. Both classroom and on job.
7) Worked as Assistant Engineer [Between May 1984 to December 1987 ] in Ammonia plant of M/S Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd., Panambur, India
· Worked in Ammonia Plant in shifts as supervisor.
8) Worked as Engineer Trainee [Between May 1993 to May 1994] in various sections like Ammonia Plant, Urea Plant, Utilities, Product Handling Section of M/S Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd., Panambur- (India)
· Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd., Panambur, India is a fertilizer complex consisting of Ammonia, Urea, Di-Ammonium phosphate (DAP), Ammonium bi-Carbonate Plant, Air separation unit to generate Nitrogen. It has got its own utilities, Power Generation Plant and Port Handling facilities to handle Imported Ammonia and Phosphoric acid.
9) Worked as Graduate Engineer Trainee (Chemical) in Technical services Department [Between January 1983 to April 1983] of M/S Herdillia Chemicals Ltd., Bombay, India.
· Carried out Design and Modifications of various equipment. Also worked on integral heat recovery and economical utilization of steam.
· M/S Herdillia Chemicals Ltd., is a Petrochemical Industry manufacturing Phenol, Phthalic Anhydride, Dioctyl Phthalate, Di allyl alcohol etc.,
