HALLIBURTON/KBR 2007 - 2009
Chief Surveyor for the Facilities Engineering Team at Kandahar and FOB Sharana Military bases in Afghanistan, and all C-Sites based in Tikrit, Iraq. Supervised and conducted all site GPS surveys of existing and proposed construction/engineering projects throughout the military bases in support of the US and Coalition Forces. Surveys include: boundary, topographic, construction setout, as-built, mapping, and utility construction. Responsible for the collection, reduction, computation, and analysis of field survey data. WESTERN GECO (SCHLUMBERGER) 2006 - 2007
Contract surveyor for vibroseis Q-Land 3D seismic survey contract in Algeria for BP and Sonatrach. All control/local geoid modelling (Static and Fast Static) and seismic/setting out (RTK) with R7, and 4800 Trimble GPS Receivers with TSC2 data loggers. Teledesign data communications. GPS data processed with Trimble TGO, and GPSeismic Software packages. Mapping with ARCGIS 9 and Autocad Land Desktop 2004.

Chief Surveyor for the Engineering Department at Camp Taji Military base in Al-Taji, Iraq. Trimble GPS System 4800 with Pacific Crest data transmission (RTK).

LEICA GEOSYSTEMS 1998 - 2000

WESTERN GEOPHYSICAL 1992 - 1998
Chief Surveyor for onshore land operations in Algeria, Romania, and Albania, Worked 2D and 3D concessions in the Grand Erg Oriental region of Algeria, the forests around Craiova, Romania, and the mountainous region around Berat, Albania (Heliportable). Responsible for all conventional and GPS survey operations including positioning seismic lines, mapping, well site positions, training local staff, reconnaissance, data processing and analysis, and report generation. Utilized Trimble GPS Systems with Pacific Crest data transmission. Survey software included Western Surface, S3, Trimble GPSurvey with TrimMap, and Autocad.

JATCO 1991 - 1992
Short term sub-contract with Bechtel Corporation. Responsible for topographic, construction, and reconnaissance surveys of the Gulf War damaged Burgan oil field. Assisted British Military E.O.D. team in the reconnaissance surveys for access into the oil well fire locations, which encompassed much of the Burgan field. Responsible for mapping all damaged oil infrastructure. Responsible for construction layout of all temporary construction camps.
Utilized Geodimeter conventional surveying equipment.

WESTERN GEOPHYSICAL 1989 - 1991
Senior Surveyor for onshore land operations in Egypt, Sudan, and Algeria. Worked 2D and 3D concessions in the Western Desert, Nile Delta, and Red Sea coastal areas of Egypt, the bush region around Muglad, Sudan and the Grand Erg Oriental desert region of Algeria. Responsible for all conventional surveys, Transit Doppler satellite survey operations, and Static GPS positioning. Duties included: positioning seismic lines, mapping, well site positions, training local staff, reconnaissance, data processing, data analysis, and report generation. Utilized Wild and Geodimeter conventional instrumentation, Magnavox MX1502 Doppler Satellite Receivers, and Ashtech MDXII GPS receivers. Survey software included Western Surface, Ashtech GPPS, Magnavox Doppler processing, and Autocad.

URS CORPORATION 1983 - 1989
Survey Coordinator for major Civil Engineering firm in San Antonio, Texas. Coordinated two field crews; surveys included: subdivision engineering set-out, cross sectioning, boundary, topographic, and construction surveys in urban and rural Texas hill country. Computed coordinate geometry, dimensioning control, volumes, cut-sheets, map checks, and plotting utilizing Hewlett Packard computing and plotting system with WILD Surveying and Plotting Software. Survey equipment consisted of WILD optical and EDM systems.


JATCO 1979 - 1983
Sub-contracted as Land Surveyor to Arabian American Oil Company (ARAMCO) to conduct field surveys including: topographic surveys of remote airfields located in the Rub Al Khali Desert, boundary control surveys for the establishment of the Ghawar oil-field reservation, and various construction engineering layout surveys for the Royal Commissions development of the industrial cities of Al Jubail and Yanbu. Conventional surveying equipment consisted of WILD T2, WILD DI4,DI3S, and DI20 EDM’s.

HOUSTON FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT 1973 - 1979
Training and operations as a Land Surveyor in Houston, Texas. Responsible for assisting in boundary, topographic, Right of Way, and construction projects as related to flood control projects throughout Harris County.
