EMPLOYMENT CHRONICLE

Aeronautical Engineer, Technical Support Orion, Royal New Zealand Air Force, Auckland, New Zealand (May 06 – Feb 09)

Responsibilities:
In accordance with airworthiness policy and directives I was responsible for the staffing of Modifications and Projects, Special Maintenance Instructions, Publication Amendments, and follow up action in response to Major Defect Reports, Aircraft Incident Reports, review of RNZAF maintenance policies and procedures, identification of alternate parts, scrapping of components, and other technical service jobs as required.

Achievements:
 Major contribution in the formation of Accomplishment Summary for P3- Orion, being the primary document for Type Certification i.a.w. Technical Airworthiness Authority - RNZAF.
 Various independent projects.

Project/ Contract Engineer, Safe Air Limited, Blenheim/ Auckland, New Zealand
(Sep 04 – Apr 06)
Responsibilities:
 Log Card Auditing and Validation using ALIS (Air Logistics Information System) used by RNZAF. This project entailed discrepancy management, logical analysis, task management and quality assurance. The entire log cards of T56 Rolls Royce Engines and its core units used in P3-Orion and C130-Hercules were electronically archived.
 Carried out log card audits and reviewed reports at different RNZAF bases, and provided Induction Trainings on requirement.

Achievements:
This project culminated in migration of 2200 hard log card data items being authenticated and migrated to an electronic maintenance management system (SAP). The work had been pending for over 10 years and required considerable data validation. I accomplished the project in a record time of 18 months, against an estimated completion time of 5 years for which I received compliments from the Air Force.

Deputy Chief Engineer, Quality Control & Technical Services: Avionics Group
Air-India, Mumbai, India (1993 – Mar 2004)

Major aircraft dealt- Boeing 747-200,300,400, 777 and Airbus A-300, 310.

Responsibilities:
• Provide expertise in dealing with ongoing/recurring defects.
• Provide technical support and assistance to maintenance personnel.

• Development and monitoring of Maintenance Programs / Schedules and Organizational Documents-MEL/CDL, CRP, MSM.
• Study, analysis and implementation of aircraft related technical projects, system upgrade and retrofit programmes.




Senior Engineer – Electronics, Mechelonics Engineers, Mumbai, India (1992– 1993)
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for Production of -seam welding, spot welding, flash-butt welding machines.
• Leading a team of Engineers in ongoing development.
• Testing of UPS, Inverters, and Converters.

Achievements:
• Devised and implemented a Time Motion study project to enhance the efficiency and cut down the manual labour.
