Summary |
More than twenty (20) years of proven experience in all aspects of piping and mechanical engineering, with more than twelve (12) years in design and more than ten (10) years in construction, fabrication and installation of piping system / mechanical equipment for substantial facilities in oil and gas (onshore and offshore), petrochemical, geothermal and other industrial plants.
Became a member of owner’s PMC team and had participated in the review / approval of EPC contractor’s piping engineering documents in major projects. Notable client / owner companies joined were Exxon Mobil, Qatar Liquefied Gas Company Limited (QATARGAS), Total Fina Elf (Total Exploration and Production Indonesie), Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operation (ADCO), Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (TAKREER), PNOC-Energy Development Corporation (PNOC-EDC) and Philippine Geothermal Incorporation (PGI-UNOCAL).
Has relevant experience in Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) and / or Detailed Design and Engineering for major greenfield and brownfield projects. Currently in the Philippines and performing in-house design (sub-contracting) of piping system and mechanical equipment for locally based industrial plants. Design activities includes the following:
1. Preparation of piping conceptual arrangement drawings and cost estimates for use in bid tenders.
2. Execution of detailed design drawings of pressure vessels and other mechanical equipment for fabrication.
3. Responsible in carrying out piping design and drafting activities to the required technical quality utilizing AutoCAD software. Prepares plot plans, general arrangements / routing plans, piping isometrics, pipe support drawings, material takeoff, etc.
4. Ensures, as far as practically possible, that assigned / contracted work is carried out in compliance with the agreed work plan, budget and schedule.
5. Executes manual piping calculations and pipe stress and flexibility analysis as required using Caesar II.

As a member of the Owner's Engineering Team (Exxon Mobil and Qatargas) for the construction, commissioning and start-up of a new world scale LNG plant, the Qatargas 2 LNG Project, reporting directly to the Fixed Equipment and Piping Lead Engineer, and performs the following functions:
1. Oversees / monitors the activities of the EPC contractor to assure that the piping / pipeline work was executed in accordance to the approved project specification, plans / drawings, construction practices / methodologies / procedures, schedules and coherent with the required project quality requirements. Promoting health, safety and environmental awareness.
2. Reviews / monitors / approves all aspects of the EPC Contractor’s piping design, drawings, documents and reports. Coordinates with EPC Contractor’s Lead Piping Engineer regarding design issues verified at site.
3. Checks / approves stress analysis reports of critical lines and other design calculations as being prepared by the EPC contractor.
4. Conducts field review of as-installed piping / pipeline and pipe components to check for conformance to industry standards, project specification, engineering documentation and good engineering practice. Detailed checks includes items such as adequacy of as-installed piping / pipeline supports, verification of provision for thermal expansion, bracing / gusseting of small bore connections per project specifications.
5. Evaluates the as-installed pipe / pipeline / support adequacy for vibrating / multi-phase service.
6. Charged in the preparation of field punch list based on field walk-down and review with appropriate engineering personnel.
7. Became a member of the start-up surveillance team that ensures the safe and excellent operability of the plant prior to its turnover to the operation group.
8. Executes design calculations when needed and make recommendations for the effective resolution of engineering and construction issues at site.

Seconded by PT Technip Indonesia (PTII) to Total Fina Elf, acting as one of the Project / Piping Engineers, providing engineering services for various projects of the company that involves the onshore / offshore oil and gas fields in the area of East Kalimantan, Indonesia. Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering Services Division and performing the following functions:
1. As Engineer-In-Charge (EIC) / Project Engineer of assigned projects, manages the preparation of engineering dossiers for new and modification projects as prepared internally or by engineering contractors, and ensuring its adherence to the company and industry specification.
2. Checks / approves / validates the deliverables for piping / pipeline FEED, Detailed Design and Stress Analysis executed by EPC contractors.
