Summary |
30 years experience in heavy industrial construction. I have served as a supervisor for 25 of those 30 years, with responsibility for as many as 15,000 workers.
I have managed a wide variety of projects, both domestically as well as abroad, ranging from 3 million to 1.5 billion dollars, in value, to include Major Infrastructure Projects, Chemical Refineries, Gas and Oil Refineries, Strategic Oil Storage Facilities (Underground Salt Dome Storage),Ethylene Cracking Furnaces, Catalyst Cracking Furnaces, Hydrogen Reformers, Air Separation Units, Pipelines, as well as Fossil, Nuclear and Gas Turbine Power Plants, Wet Flue Gas Desulfurization (Scrubber) Systems, Water Treatment Facilities and Paper Mills. I have been involved in every stage of these different projects, from concept through construction completion, inclusive of start-up, commissioning and turn over for commercial operations.
My experience includes, Corporate Manager of Construction, Personal Client Representative (Owners Rep.), Owners Site Manager, Project Manager, Assessment Team Manager, Construction Site Manager, General Superintendent, Pipe Superintendent, General Foreman, Pipe Foreman, Field Engineering of Piping and Structural Components, Safety Coordinator as well as serving in the pipe trades as a journeyman pipe fitter and welder.
My management responsibilities include client relations, direct project control, scheduling and cost management, contract review, input to contract and implementation. I have been responsible for the administration of all contract requirements and implementation as well as administration of sub-contractor activities to fulfill contract requirements, monitoring and enforcing company and safety policies and procedures, monitoring quality of installation as well as managing and directing various craft tradesmen.

Construction Manager, contracted to Air Products Corp, managing various sub-contractors for the installation of a “Technip Design” 110 Million Standard Cubit Feet, per day, Hydrogen Reformer (HYCO) Plant. Duties included: Contract negotiations, Review and approvals of “Change Orders”, managing sub-contractor activities, to insure all contract scope work, is performed to meet contract, schedule, safety and specification requirements. I am also responsible for managing the pipeline contractor, installing the natural gas pipeline, from point of origin, to the metering station, inside the facility battery limits.
July’04 to Dec’04 Penn Power (GE)
Baghdad, Iraq
Site Manager, overseeing the assessment of various, existing power facilities, throughout the country of Iraq to improve electrical output and operability. Duties include: Interfacing with U.S Army Corps of Engineers, Bechtel, The Iraq Ministry of Power as well as many other military and civilian factions, both American and foreign. Reviewing and reporting conditions of existing of power facilities, monitoring and implementing schedule and budget requirements. Site Manager, overseeing the demolition and rebuild of a Deltak boiler in the Minnesota Methane Plant, a 10 Mega-Watt methane gas power facility, in East Brunswick, New Jersey. Duties included: Direct supervision of craftsmen performing work, client relations with both Deltak (Boiler Design Vendor) and Minnesota Methane (Owner). Monitoring and supervising the installation of equipment and materials to insure construction was meeting contract and quality installation specifications and guidelines as well as budget and schedule requirements.

Wateree, South Carolina
Site Manager, contracted to Alstom Environmental, overseeing the demolition of existing structure, retrofit and installation of (2) Selective Catalyst Reduction Unit. The project was in the SCE&G Wateree Generating Station, a 400 Mega-Watt coal fired power facility, located in Wateree South Carolina. My duties included: Client relations with SCE&G (Owner) and Zachry Construction (Contractor performing work). Monitoring installation of materials to insure construction was meeting contract and quality installation specifications and guidelines as well as schedule requirements.
May’03 to June’03 Power Industry Consultants (PIC)
Alta Mira, Mexico
Site Manager, contracted to Donaldson, overseeing modifications to (4) Donaldson Inlet Filter Houses. Project was located in Altamira, Mexico, on an ICA-Duke Flour Daniel installation site. My duties included: Client relations with Donaldson, General Electric and ICA-DFD, setting up local Mexican subcontractors, setting up local vendor accounts, building and maintaining work schedules, assuring quantities of work to meet scheduled activities, as well as monitoring subcontractor work activities to assure both quality and quantity requirements were met.
