Executed the Amine Treating Units’ project (4 lines). The project cost was approximately USD 180 million.
Executed the Sour Water Stripping Units’ project (4 lines). The project cost was approximately USD 164 million.
Executed the Desalination Units’ project (4 lines). The project cost was approximately USD 98 million.
Executed procurement activities for 516 static equipments including the crude columns, vacuum columns, reactors, auxiliary boilers, steam turbine generators, gas turbine generators etc. The total budget utilized was approximately USD 225.24 million.
Executed the Sulfur Stripping Units project with a project cost of approximately USD 109 million.
Benzene Recovery Project (Brown Field Project): This was an expansion project of a 32 year old plant. The project cost was approximately USD 192 million. The scope included shutdown activities to integrate with the existing unit.
Amine Treating Unit expansion project: The scope consisted of erecting a new line to augment the capacity of the existing units. The project cost was approximately USD 52 million.
Sour Water Stripping Unit expansion project: The scope consisted of erecting a new line to augment the capacity of the existing units. The project cost was approximately USD 42 million.
Captive Power Plant project: This was an expansion project of the existing 300MW plant to 450MW, with the installation of 3, 33MW gas turbine generators, steam turbine generators and auxiliary boilers. The approximate project cost was USD 227 million.
Demineralization Units: Executed the project activities for Demineralization units (6 lines).
Coordinated construction and commissioning activities for Flare Recovery Unit.
Coordinated engineering, construction and shutdown activities for Amine Treating Units as well as Sour Water Stripping Units. This was a brown field project for expansion of the capacities of the existing units.

Executed cost saving initiates for the refinery project which amounted to approximately 12% cost savings with respect to the budget. This includes logistic planning and strategic sourcing activities globally. Also with effective crane movement planning, another 2.5% saving on the overall project cost was achieved.
Developed vendor data base for Dubai Metro Railways and negotiated favorable commercial terms for Serco, especially with overseas vendors and proprietary items manufacturers of rail industry.
Executed purchasing for projects well within the approved/ allocated budget.
Worked from Bechtel UK (on deputation) and coordinated all procurement and logistics activities of 516 static equipments to ensure no delay in the project schedule. This included procurement activities as well as arranging suitable freight forwarders, marine insurance and managing ship loading plan, inland transportation and final erection at site.
Within the constrained space available, executed the Benzene recovery unit project and managed installation of many new equipments including 24 pumps by modifying the plot plant and creating new foundations for the existing pumps along with coming up with the idea of making a common foundation for 18 pumps to save space. The additional advantage was savings in terms of civil construction cost.
Completed the JERP (Jamnagar Export Refinery Project) project and procurement activities within the target schedule of less than 36 months.
