Summary |
I am working in Corrosion Field since 1996 and in this capacity I have developed a broad range of experience in Corrosion Control Methods, including Cathodic Protection (CP), Paint and Coating, Internal corrosion and Material Performance. I have worked with international contractors on several projects.
My experience base has expanded greatly to provide me with both a broader scope of knowledge and understanding of the industry and a substation base on interpersonal relations. |

SOGEP s.r.l. (ITALIAN COMPANY), Mabruk Field, Libya
SOGEPI Cathodic Protection Engineer in Contract Nš: FO-114-2004-MA “Upgrading of the Existing CP System at Mabruk Field for TOTAL Libya Branch- Mabruk Oil Operations - MOO” - (Supervision of Construction and Commissioning of 30 deep anode ground beds, 27 transformer rectifiers and 3 solar power units).
Complete monitoring of a new CP system including pipe to soil potential measurements (“on”/ “off”), anode ground bed outputs, line current measurements, as well as earthing resistance measurements covering all CP system in the Mabruk Field (well casing and associated flow lines, trunk lines, export line & GOSP facilities) starting from July, 2007.
Jan. 2010 – April 2010
Part time with TECNOMONTAGGI s.r.l.- Italian company to Design, supply of materials, install and commissioning of a new CP system (Zinc sacrificial anodes) to protect underground cooling water system pipe site work at Misurata Steel Plant:
1. Preparation of complete design package including (Design calculations, bill of materials, material specifications, construction specifications, engineering drawings, scope of work and commissioning procedure),

Sharing with others for preparation of CP specification to protect Attahaddy Gas Field facilities (36 Well Casing, Flow lines and Plant Facilities).
Preparation of CP specification for 34” Brega-Zueitina-Bengahzi Gas Pipeline and Compressor Station (7 shallow ground beds and 3 open hole deep anode ground beds using Magnetite anodes).
Preparation of design package for replacement existing deep anode ground bed for cooling water pipes (Gas Plant/ Brega).
Preparation of CP requirements for Petrochemical Fire Fighting System (Brega).

Conducted soil resistivity measurements for new and/or replacement of depleted shallow and deep anode ground beds using four pin methods.
Accomplished with others E log I test for twenty five (25) well casings at different environments.
Installation with others (20) impressed current shallow anode ground beds; (7) ground beds along Brega-Zuetina-Benghzi gas pipeline, (1) along main transmission Lines (36” Gas, 36” Oil, and 30” Gas) Brega-Zelten and the remains along 34” Brega-Misurata gas pipeline.
Conducting Close Interval Potential Survey (CIPS) and Direct Current Voltage Gradient (DVG) along Main Transmission Lines (36” Gas, 36” Oil, and 30” Gas) 172km each.
Mitigation of interference for pipeline crossing and plant areas.
