Worked as Site Engineer (Electrical) on OPD Building, LMC Hospital, Hyderabad for Electrical installations and wiring system

Joined as Lecturer in National College of Engineering and Technology,Karachi.
During this period I was also posted as Officer on special duty at the west Pakistan university of Engg and Tech Lahore to attend courses in Telecommunication and Electronics.






August 1975 – December 1982
Employed by Sui Gas Transmissin Company as Assistant Engineer (Telecoms) in G-II of Executive cadre for Indus Right Bank Pipeline Telecommunication Project. Primary Function of the system being control and operation of Sui Gas integrated gas transmission system which includes installation of digital microwave radio and multiplexers, VHF Mobile system

Jobs Undertaken in SGTC :


Radio survey, Path planning, preparations of general specification for supply, installation of radio towers, radio multiplexers, supervisory equipment, commissioning of voice and data transmission system, installation of automatic exchanges, installation of VHF mobile system, field tests, commissioning and acceptance tests.

Transferred to operations department at Shikarpur maintenance centre to operate and maintain the microwave communication system, UHF Spur links, VHF Mobile system, PAX, PMBX and Teletype-machines. Maintenance of Electrical power system.

Promoted to G-III of executive cadre in SGTC and posted at Planning and Development department Karachi to work on two new Telecommunication projects (Quetta Pipeline system and Pirkoh Pipeline system).

Duties include Retro-fitting and integration of QPL and Pirkoh telecom system with existing IRBP microwave system, radio survey, path planning, traffic planning, installation, testing and commissioning of both systems. Apart from above installation of an independent HF and VHF system for constructional personal working in field/camps.





Dec 1982 – March 1984
Employed by Zimpex Pak ltd. As senior telecom and maintenance Engineer to work with Kentron Pakistan Inc. USA on Pakistan Railways telecommunication and related signaling project (960 Channels Microwave system). This include maintenance of Micro wave system, UHF and VHF System.

March 1984 – Oct 2008
Employed by SGTC as Asst. Telecom Engineer at Quetta in Grade III.

Duties include maintenance and operation of microwave communication system from Quetta to Shikarpur.

Promoted in 1989 as Telecom Engineer and posted at Karachi for BGFIP Telecom system installation and commissioning. During this period visited USA for training

Promoted as Senior Telecom Engineer in 1992 to look after entire microwave system of SSGC and redesignated as Deputy Chief Engineer in 1994.

Promoted as Chief Engineer (Telecom) in 1996 to look after all microwave communication and SCADA system of SSGC.

Promoted to Deputy General Manager (Telecom) in 2002 to look after Telecom and SCADA system and arrange installation and commissioning of SCADA and Telecom project GIREP / 301.

Promoted to General Manager (Services) in Marach 2008 and became Head of department looking after Telecom, SCADA and Electrical systems of entire SSGC Network
