Detacan SA, beginning with 15 Jan 2001.In this water factory my work was related in related in dealing the procurements request, the suppliers analysis, negotiation process, the contract execution, material flow and inventory management and other industrial products
Umex SA, beginning with 4 May 2001. I work as a crane driver and simultaneous as mechanical engineer on crane LHM 320. In June 2001 I successfully attended the course for Liebherr Mobile Harbor Crane, in Nenzing Austria. The LHM320 it is a hydraulic crane, controlled by computer, using Litronic software.
Umex SA, beginning with 1 Dec 2001. I work as a Shift Supervisor; my work was related with loading the cargo and containers from ship to berth. In this operating flow I organize the process and I distribute the working place of the personnel from subordinate. In this position I have the opportunity to be familiarized with first time with issues regarding heavy rigging, especially the confrontation between the physical presence of the slings, ropes, chains, shackles and the papers of origin and legislation.
Victoria SA, beginning with Sept. 2002, I work as Industrial engineer; my work was related with the complete analyze of the working post, both operator activity and machine. After a continuous observation is possible to obtain exact data about efficiency of the operator at the post and quality of production.
Beginning with November 2003 I worked as a Assistant Superintendent on Derrick Layers Vessels:
First Project (Dec. 2003-March 2004), named Soho, deployed in Nigeria by “DLV Castoro 8” has the main task to install five jackets (three 4 legs, one 8 legs and a tripod) and the platform for Production, Store and Refinery, Flare. All the jacket come along DLV , floating and pulled by tugboats, raising was performed by main crane Am-Clyde 1200To, valve opening of the floating jackets with Sonsub ROV( submarine remote operated vehicle ).After the positioning of the jacket over the oil well, was used , 120meters(80To) , tubular piles, hammered and welded in sequences of 4 by each corner.
Second Project (April 2004-Aug. 2004), named Kizomba A, was deployed in Angola, and accomplished by “FDS Saibos”. Main tasks: Installing submarine production unit, Anchor System for Kizomba A, Pipe Line production, Flexible Pipe installation. This ship it is a Field Development Ship, being capable with modification, according to the project to make virtually any construction operation off-shore, helped by a 600to Am Clyde crane,2 25 to Liebherr, 2 stern positioned ROV submersibles, 2 heavy winches 110to(portside) and 400to(starboard side). Pipe line it is realized using a “J” system. A stern tower it is the welding area. One of my job was to be operator for a 20To, electrical winch, and a 350 To diesel hydraulic winch. The 20 To winch was used for submarine operation in cooperation with Sonsub-ROV, and the 350 To winch was used for deploying flexible pipe(3000 meters length).Maximum operational deep, was 1300m.
Third Project (Sept. 2004-May2005), named Kizomba B had mainly the same tasks.
Any rigging made on board during lifting operation was supervised by 2 sides, one was from the client, another from Team leader workers (usually me), and sometimes by DNV inspectors who often arrive on board to check the situation and prepare reports about rigging devices origin and physical shape not only on the deck but also on stores.
Another key responsibility for me was to inform the working crew and the often the marine crew about the main task of the day, to have a quick safety meeting. Regarding safety, weekly I have to conduct a full safety meeting and Job Safety Analyze.
Also the Client(Exxon, Total), was all the time next to me during main operation demanding work in safety and follow the scheduled working program.
During October 2005-May 2006, I worked as logistic engineer on FPSO Girassol, ROSA Project. As a team leader I was responsible with the transfer of the materials from the supply vessel to the Regalia. The operation involved one heavy crane 100 to,2 electro hydraulic cranes 25 to, one forklift, minimum 7 workers, communication with the marine crew of Regalia, Girassol and the Supply vessel. Another responsibility for me was to maintain two compressors, who provide energy for air-powered tools on Girassol. The main characteristic of this working site was first off all the restriction due the FPSO operation, gas leak, confined space, strict work permit policy for all operations.
At the beginning of this year, 2007, I receive an offer as a hydraulic engineer from a company from Malta. When I arrive at working site my job was changed a little bit, because they just bought small fishing boats from Ireland, and the my project was crystal clear only when I stepped on this vessels, without any information regarding this boats or clear plan, my task was to transform the fishing boat in supply boat and tugboat. The ships dimension was under 25 m length and under 400Tdw. I was able to coordinate around 16 workers all the time (welders, motorman, divers, and crane operators) finishing in time, according with the demands of the client.
Since 2008 I am in contract in Ireland working in part/assembly design in SolidWorks 2009, and programming CNC Cutting machine Burny 2.5.Also I know to work with this machine, steel up to 100mm, Aluminium up 12 mm using plasma head.
