Summary |
| I have a total 13 years of experience in piping design & for last 4 years involved in engineering of Oil Refineries & Petrochemical Onshore Plants. Rest 9 years did engineering of Air Separation Plants & Medical Gas. I do following design activities; prepare Equipment Layout, Piping GAD, Isometric Sketches & workout Material Takeoff, Pipe Supports, Nozzle Orientation & Equipment Location. I follow following International & national design standards; ANSI, ASME, ASTM, API, BS & IS. I work both at AutoCAD & with free hand. My previous and current design experience is with large EPC companies, in a PDS environment. I visit sites to check physical feasibility of pipe & guide sub contractor jobs. |
Work Experience |
I am currently involved in bid proposal jobs of various Oil Refineries & Petrochemical Onshore plants. After receiving drawings & documents from the client, I check & workout scope of job. Then further issue documents to the sub contractor for preparing Isometric sketches & MTO, as my company off load detail engineering & material takeoff jobs. Later I cross check Isometric Sketches, Material, Pipe Rack Detail, Piping Study, Special Items & Insulation MTO prepared by sub contractor.
My other engineering activities are as follows:-
Prepare Material takeoff.
Prepare special item’s list.
Check internal & vendor drawings.
Prepare piping study & isometric sketches.
Check & compare flange quantities with p&id.
Check & prepare tie-in list.
Check pipe lengths as per piping study.
Provide pipe loading data to civil department.
Calculate man hour & prepare job description.
Guide sub contractor for any piping related issues.
Provide all the related documents to sub contractor & correspond with client.
Resolve piping related issues with process, civil, electrical & instrumentation departments.
Comment on P&IDs, Equipment GA drawings & Civil Structure drawings.
