Handled as a Project Director Dubai’s most prestigious projects which are Universal City Dubailand (UCD) the first world class theme park to be developed in Dubailand, Dubai’s most ambitious Leisure, Tourism and Entertainment destination of Parks, Culture, Well Being, Sports, Shopping, Hospitality and Entertainment.
I have carried out the responsibility of developing the Master Plan final concept, Hotels of 900 rooms, Boulevard and area development of Universal City.
My role was leading the project teams during the project initiation, and direction of design and implementation for the site construction activities on various projects
BAWADI PROJECT- DIRECTOR PROJECT MANAGEMENT ( Project Cost US $ 55 billions ) from May 2007 till May 2009)
As a Project Director responsible for the project management operations, leading of project teams, project initiation, direction of design and implementation of the construction activities on various projects within Bawadi, and for managing those carrying out project management assignments or support roles to promote efficient, profitable and effective service delivery.
I have established a Bawadi Project Management department and delivered the master plan, the TMP,the infrastructure, design and construction activities for Bawadi Project. This department supported the necessary requirements to manage Bawadi Project from the initial stages.My other responsibilities were for the necessary deliverables.
The list of the milestones that I handled are listed as follows:
• Directed the Designs for own development through outsourced consultants such Projacs, Mace, Aedas, Arup, Mott MacDonald for Asia Asia hotel and implemented the enabling on site activities for Asia Asia hotel.
• Managed the Joint Ventures and was leading the technical coordination with Emaar to proceed with the construction of Maysan Towers and the town home villas. A similar role was carried out with the other Joint Ventures, partners & investors developments
• Managed the design review for the various submissions made by private investors of Bawadi.
• Development of the Concept Master Plan of Bawadi including developing the Land Use Master Plan and part of the detailed/final Master Plan. I have also obtained the Approvals from the local authorities of Dubai Municipality.
• Developed the Transportation Master Plan, Developed the ROW’s plan , the Mass Transit System concepts and obtained the Approval from RTA for the TMP.
• Developed the concepts for our Bawadi sales offices including the construction of Bawadi site office
• Managed the enabling works for Bawadi (Desert Gate 1, Bawadi Residence & ROW’s)
• Prepared the Development Design Control Regulation and the development of the plot briefs
• In order to facilitate the efficient flow for Bawadi business, I have created processes and procedures to allow for the best practice to run the business within this department. The procedures and processes were already implemented during the work.
