 Fitter, to Supervisor experience, (6 ½ yrs in Heavy industry)

 Adaptable to various situations, at ease in many culture groups –will re-locate World-wide.

Previously, reached short-listings :-

(( ASSEMBLY & TEST ENGINEER, (October 2008), ))
(( AKER SOLUTIONS (Sub-Sea) in Norway, ))
(( notified on Jan 15th 2009 , that ALL posts are "on-hold". ))

RESIDENT SITE ENGINEER
for EATON TRANSMISSIONS, RENAULT TRUCK PLANT, LYON, France
(by ACR Solutions))

(( WARRANTY / CUSTOMER SUPPORT ENGINEER, for ATLAS-COPCO, at their UK, HQ. ))

Engineering knowledge is intensive, from a solid background. Not pretentious, when conversing with people at all levels of competence, able to develop a rapport, based on a mutual respect for fellow- workers. “Hands-on' skills provide the ability to search for the origin of defects / systems, and create a “team-spirit”

During employment at a Steel Billet Manufacturer, as a newly promoted Supervisor, responsibilities included liaison with craftspersons, ( Electricians, Platelayers, Diesel Fitters… )
Able to co-ordinate successfully, multi-skilled teams on various projects as well as routine Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive repairs.

Following the acquisition of Rolling-stock, investigated the requirements for urgent repair, maintenance of Ingot Transfer Bogies – this entailed the conceptual design and implementation of equipment to enable safe practices, in Wheel Bearing Removals and Replacements. These contributions speeded-up these operations and reduced costs, applying of Kaizen principles. Utilises Engineering principles, seeking always to simplify operations, to ‘think outside the box’… Able to 'take on board' new ideas.

Good understanding of CNC turret punching as well as conventional, together with Computer Measurement Methodology (CMM), place me well to implement a steep knowledge acquisition curve. I have a keen eye for detail in all aspects of Manufacturing Operations.
Familiar with Safe Working Practices, including Permits to work systems, Lock-out methods, safety attendance, H & S (Health ,Safety).

Instructional (leadership) qualities founded upon firmness and a respect for the 'humanistic' approach towards working with and leading others.
Example:- while studying for the HND, quickly grasped the understanding of ‘SOLO’ Microchip circuit design, together with PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design, well placed to assist peers, in aiding not only the Malaysian Electrical / Electronic mature students, but also British students, in understanding the software manipulations. In recognition of this, the course Director invited me to take up a Lecturers post, teaching HND level Electronics, in Malaysia. (I declined, in order to pursue further UK studies.)

Practical & academic capabilities, provide the expertise to implement service planning and the SUPERVISION of any complexity.

• Enthusiastic and meticulous
• Supervisory experience within diverse industries (Heavy Steel to Polymer Injection Moulding).
• Experienced eye for detail.

"HANDS-ON", experience on AIR-COMPRESSORS (Broome & Wade, Atlas Copco...), HNX GAS-PLANT, Coil Feeders (Rotary - Motor driven, Slag reduction equipments, (Crushers, Vibratory Power screens...) Mechatronics areas, from Calorifiers (Heat exchangers), Pipework, in fact all services…
Breakdown analysis of a wide variety of Industrial plant and equipment, Water treatment systems, ( Re-circ & Waste water / Effulents ). Floor-mounted hoists (also responsible as Supervisor, for their INSTALLATION, SUPERVISING the work of the SUBCONTRACTOR(s).) All HYDRAULIC equipment, from HYDRAULIC VANE MOTORS, to FURNACE TILT OPERATIONS, OVERHEAD GANTRIES, Rotary Power winches, (up to 160 tonnes),).

In anticipation that there might be also OIL – Petroleum, environments, the only GAS experience I had, was whilst working on the HNX (Hydrogen Nitrous Oxide) Gas plant as a mechanical apprentice.
The majority of this experience gained within Heavy (STEEL)Industry, BEFORE achieving the Engineering Degree.

Capable of tackling any situation arising, using Engineering know-how, reinforced with a soild engineering background. Computer literate (software & packages), has a very steep learning curve. Innovative and able to anticipate solutions with rapid appropriate decision-making. Dynamic and methodical.

Self-motivated, and a ‘self-starter’.

Additionally, my expertise allows me to make qualified judgements and decisions, yet, refer to the appropriate Manager(s), in cases where it would be prudent to consult and inform.
In short, not having specialised, could be a bonus for an employer looking for a versatile, mature, and highly adaptable Engineer / assistant Engineer – Manager.

In almost each employment over the years, I have been able to contribute towards the continuous improvements (Kaizen), developments for the benefit of 'streamlining' the operations.
Very aware of the need for concurrency, necessary in order to conceive and implement modifications, demands of deadlines, to respect delivery dates, Kanban systems, incoming quality checks, collate information...
Concluding, prepared also, to assist within the Field Management responsibilities, in order to develop within the organisation. 100% mobile,
Would consider entry-level, responsibility post for an appropriate salary, plus Benefits, local allowances, accom...

Comments/ Hobbies/ Interests etc:
Enjoys cultural integration.
Currently learning Italian and Spanish.
