Senior Accountant: Valmont Middle East FZE, in Jebel Ali, an U.S. based multinational company involved in manufacturing & trading of Irrigation equipments such as Center Pivot, Precision Corners, Linear etc., with branches in more than 34 countries around the world.
Duties & Responsibilities:
I. Accounting
a) Finalization of Accounts: Preparation of Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash flow statement, operation Summary, Monthly, Quarterly reports. Analysis of actual revenue / expenses with Annual Operating Plan. Preparation of expense and revenue budget etc. Analysis of Balance Sheet and Income Statement with budget and historical data.

b) Sales / Accounts Receivable: Checking / authorize Customer invoices,, A/R Aging Analysis, Verifying overdue invoices and follow up on debt collection. Updating credit facilities and reporting the overdue balances to the management for recovery procedure. Evaluating Customers credit worthiness.

c) Purchase / Accounts Payable: Verification of LPO with quotes, random checking of purchase invoices booked with Goods Received Note, A/P Ageing analysis, authorize payments of all due vendor invoices. travel and entertainment expenses & cheque requests. Getting credit limits approved from suppliers for open credit.. Monitoring timely payments such as electricity, water, telephone, rent etc.

d) General Ledger Accounts: Monthly analysis of General Ledger, Reconciliation of Bank
Accounts, Inter-group company accounts reconciliation, updating fixed assets schedules, passing monthly provision, prepaid and depreciation journal entries, prepare & analysis of balance sheet schedules such Prepaid expenses, advances, accrued payables etc

Verification of inventory / stock report of different branches & reporting to the management regarding slow movement item, re-order level and dead stock etc.

a) Data Entry of Purchase Orders, Purchase Returns, Sales Invoices, Delivery Orders, Packing List, Sales Return Invoices, Debit Note, Credit Note, Journal Vouchers, Petty Cash Book, Bank Vouchers, Cheque Issue Vouchers, PDC’ receipt and payments.

b) Updating Customer invoices and collections and preparing monthly Trade Receivable Statement, Aging Analysis Report, Verifying overdue invoices and follow up on debt collection.
c) Updating all vendor invoices and other payable transaction. Preparing Accounts Payable Ageing Statements and timely payments of all vendor invoices by checking approved purchase order & after getting proper authorization. Payment of employee travel and entertainment expenses & cheque requests
d) Input basic salary, HRA, & other allowances to HR System, Monitors, calculates, enters, and balances bi-monthly payroll of all temporary hourly employees. Calculates deductions and enters into HRS; balances deductions to general ledger accounts and requests and distributes checks.
