Work Experience
Cost Engineer – Estimator – Quantity Surveyor
• Developing cost study and objective (Target) for new project proposals.
• Developing project estimation / budgets in work breakdown format.
• Convert estimates to budgets and developing budget based work breakdown structure.
• Maintain cost reports that provide the required data to management operatives.
• Perform cost analysis to identify potential cost reductions through participation in Value Engineering.
• Review the cost estimates developed by Consultants and identify areas of possible improvements.
• Make in-depth reviews and analysis of all cost related submittals from Contractors relating to Variations and Claims.
• Assist in commercial negotiations with the Contractors.
• Preparation of the final Engineer Estimate.
• Participate in the opening bid process, evaluation of contactor’s proposed value.
• Secure price quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
• Check content of Proposed Contact Documents which are onerous and disadvantage.
• Perform quantity calculations, material take-off, and manhours calculation.
• Prepare detail estimate of material, labor, equipment costs, and cash flow projections, cost trends.
• Prepare construction, manpower, and equipment schedules.
• Review claims of various contactors, both quantities, rates, final cost and possible discounts due to changes of drawings and specifications.


Resident Engineer
• Look over the company’s on-going projects as client's representative responsible for the management contract
• Ensuring timely and quality resolutions to all site/construction issues in accordance with contractual obligations.
• Chairing of progress meetings, monitoring of work and programmes, quality and trade coordination.
• Provide direction & management of site resident staff.
• Liaison with head office including commercial performance of the project to meet project goals & objectives.
• Conduct continuous quality assurance and inspection every phases of construction.
• Enforce occupational health and safety standards at site.
• Monitor contactor productivity, schedules, and safety standards.

• Scheduling and adjusting each stage of the project to meet time and budget targets.
• Liaise with client consulting engineers.
• Maintain program accounting as to costs, manhours, equipment utilization.
• Provide technical information to the Superintendent and Project Manager.
• Dealing skillfully with a diverse range of people including clients, consultants, other engineering professionals, sub-contractors, and craftsmen.
• Maintain technical liaison with consultants, subcontractors and vendors working through.
