Summary |
I’m a B.S. graduate in Engineering Technology, with 20 years of experience in design review, commissioning, start-up, shut down, trouble shooting, normal plant operations and handling emergencies in LNG (13 years) & petrochemical complex (7years) plants having ISO 9001, ISO 14001 certifications in India and Qatar.
Posses wide exposure and experience in the LNG industry - worked in various units such as gas reception, acid gas removal, acid gas enrichment ,De-hydration ,feed gas chilling having main heat exchange at cold end (3 bundle MCHE) and crude Helium unit of LNG process, shipping & loading, power generation, utilities, boiler operations, etc.
Recently carried out the PID review of Qatar gas LNG Train5&6 unit2 in Japan and Singapore for the Raslaffan condensate Refinery plant.
Possess valuable technical competence and necessary soft skills to lead, motivate a multi discipline, multicultural team, to support the company in safe commissioning, start up and operation of LNG and other Oil & Gas plants.

Dec-1996 to till date (13years) : Qatar Liquefied Gas Company
As a field operator, senior operator, panel operator and Supervisor (act) in Qatar Liquefied Gas Qatar Gas, a world the Leading supplier of LNG and Condensate, is an ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 certified company producing 10mmmt of LNG and 2.25mmmt condensate.
Qatar gas contain 3 LNG trains having: gas reception, condensate recover, acid gas removal by Sulfinol-D process, Mercury removal unit, Gas chilling by 3 bundle APCI MCHE with propane and Mixed refrigeration ( C3/MR) cycle using GE Frame-5 gas turbine. Acid gas enrichment unit having two trains of capacity of 40000 Nm3 /hr lean acid gas to enrich into rich H2S acid gas by selective absortion by 50% Flexorb .Sulfur recoverry unit having two trains to produce 300MT/Day of Sulphur from each train by thermal & three satage of Claus and Superclaus reaction of H2S..Having steam generation ,Air separtaion for N2 ,seawater,fresh cooling water ,desalination and Effluent Treatment Plant as a utility unit.

As field operator and senior operator in Propylene oxide and propylene Glycol plant, is an ISO 9001/14001 company a first project in South East Asia to manufacture Propylene oxide, Propylene Glycol(technology by ATOCHEM) and Polyether polyols(technology by ARCO)

SPIC is one of the bigest fertilizerv complex in India producing Urea,DAP and aluminium fluride .Undergone class room technical training and on the job training for field operator in Urea and ammonia plants.

-Major contributions which gained the management attention and appreciation are:
a) Suggestion to recover the feed gas leak on LNG train1 Main heat exchanger (MHE), which is currently being used in all three trains in case of MHE leak.
b) Awarded by M/s Manali Petrochemical Ltd, Madras, for the suggestion on ‘Cost control & Effective utilization of the Resources’ for given a valuable suggestion to recover refrigerant from compressor system before handing over to maintenance.
c) Received ‘Special Achievement Award’ from CEO of Qatar Liquefied gas company, Qatar for my outstanding performance, which prevent major incident during plant major shutdown.
In addition to the above got appreciation and awards for:
- Prevention of a train shutdown during feed gas /propane chiller level control valve got choke.
- Re-routing fractionation unit re-injection product to other train main heat exchanger, which prevent the shutdown of train for 4days during de-ethanizer re-boiler leaking.
- Trouble shooting of the MR turbine hydraulic oil filter high differential problem.
- Trouble shooting the loss of production in Helium unit by identifying the passing valve which bypasses the LNG flow to the Helium unit.
- Reviewing of process alarm setting for all open and close loops in LNG train1,2&3.
- Provision of an alarm at 50% output for all split range pressure controller, which routed to flare to alert panel operator for corrective action.
- Sampling suggestion from upstream of control valve and discharge to downstream to instead of flare.
- Check valve having drain hole to keep the stand by lean amine pump in operating temperature.
- Designed a graphic for End flash gas compressor operator interface and the same was implemented.
- Certificate of Appreciation for the significant contributions during the year 2005/2007 plant turnaround and De-bottle neck project.
