Lead Designer/Piping & General Arrangements – December 2004 to Present
Currently I am a Lead Piping Designer in the Power Group using Intergraph PDS, Pelican Forge Support Modeler and Intergraph Smart Plant Review. Responsibilities include 3D equipment modeling,
detailed piping layout, and inter-discipline coordination. Recent experience has included directing and approving the work of several designers spread throughout our international offices and I spent
over a year at a job site near Reno, NV as the Field Engineer and liaison between our engineering group in Denver and the Construction supervisors and resolving issues with the sub-contractors.
Lead Piping Designer:
Wyodak Baghouse Upgrade, Wyodak Power Plant, Gillette, WY
Culbertson Generation Station, 90 MW, Culbertson, MT.
Frank A. Tracy Combined Cycle Power Plant, 500 MW, Reno, NV
Hardin Generating Station/Colorado Energy Management, 116 MW, Coal Fired Power Plant, Hardin, MT
Stanley Consultants, Denver, CO
Lead Piping Designer - April 2004 to December 2004
Using both AutoCAD 3D and MicroStation V8 with Bentley’s Design Series Modeling produced detailed 3D models and extracted the Orthographics and detailed drawings for construction.
Lead Piping Designer:
Arizona State University, Combined Heat and Power Plant, Phoenix, Arizona
Arizona State University, Chiller Replacement Project, Phoenix, Arizona
Barlow Engineering Services, Denver, CO
Lead Piping Designer - May 2002 to May 2004
As the head of the piping group I was responsible for the overall equipment layout and 3D model associated with each project. My duties included producing engineering man-hour estimates and
drawing lists to establish deliverables. I reviewed vendor drawings to evaluate orientations and constructability issues affecting the layout of the facility. I supervised the production of general
arrangements, piping orthographics, isometrics and proposal drawings for the Waste to Energy plants we designed. We used AutoCAD and the Quickpen piping module to produce 3D models which
could be reviewed by all disciplines thru Navisworks. All of our drawings were extracted from the 3D model to a 2D format for ease of editing and distribution to the client.
Lead Piping Designer:
Harrisonburg Resource Recovery Facility, 200 Tons/Day Waste-to-Energy Facility, James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Virginia
Harrisburg Materials, Energy, Recycling and Recovery Facility, 800 Tons/Day, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

P&ID’s with the process group, coordinating above ground and underground piping systems with structural, electrical and instrumentation groups, interface with piping stress/support engineering
group and on site small bore pipe fabrication design drawings.
