Developing optimum piping and equipment layout in accordance with client's and other established standards, checking 3D piping models in an integrated CAD environment, preparing, updating and checking piping deliverables including general arrangement and detail drawings, P&IDs, Isometrics and sketches in accordance with established quality procedures, in addition to preparing MTOs, drawings lists, equipment lists, line lists and valve lists.
Supervise or direct personnel on special studies or special segments of a client project and may participate in the formulation and development of advanced engineering concepts associated with proposal development, design or construction.
Participation in formal engineering review processes.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant engineering standards and internal procedures for all design activities. Guaranteeing the project targets (timing, cost and quality);
Responsible for providing technical support and mentoring to junior designers and drafters that are involved in a design function.
Reviewing standard of design and capital cost estimates, drawings and other engineering outputs to ensure deliverables are fit for purpose.

DUTY
Execute the piping engineering design of project with safety, quality, sustainability and profitability as foremost considerations. Participate in project proposals, cost estimation, both for materials and engineering hours. Establishment of HSE documents and participating in HAZOP reviews.
Maintain piping engineering records in conformance with company and project quality assurance requirements for both internal and external audits, and ensure that all piping activities are both fully traceable and fully documented.
Provide a piping engineering consultancy service to all engineering disciplines, project fabricators, constructors and management.
Assist with the responsibility for piping engineering and design change management and ensure that all changes are fully traceable, formally documented and distributed in conformance with project requirements.
Help to establish the Scope of Work. Promptly obtain Client approval (directly or as established with the Project Manager) for the ensuing cost and scheduling effects, including the initial time and costs expended to confirm the viability, or otherwise, of the proposed changes.
Evaluate Vendors quotations for technical adequacy, budgetary constraints, and Sustainable Plant Design considerations.
Execute the overall piping design (Plant, area and unit plot plan & drawings, piping modeling and drawings, ISO drawings, pipe support details & layouts etc.); Preparation specifications, BOM, design reports, data sheets;
Piping calculation and material selection, hydraulic and piping stress analysis, Equipments (including pump, compressor, valve, heat exchangers and pressure vessel etc.) calculation, sizing, procurement and installation supporting;
Coordinate with clients, venders and other disciplines to insure compatibility of design;
Checking of some others works, assist in training junior personnel;
