Career Objective:
• Seeking a Challenging position where I can utilize my twenty three years of experience in Engineering, Designing, Project management, Construction, and Maintenance in Refinery, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Fertilizer, Water and Power sectors, Airport projects etc.
Present Status:-
• Presently I am working here in Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery (Sasref) in Engineering Department. Where involved in engineering, designing, Project Management for plant expansions, modification and up grade for Instrument & Control system.
Synopsis:
Engineering & Designing:-
• To perform basic designing and engineering as per design change request raised by operation and instrument maintenance department as per Tasnee standards & Procedures. To work on medium size Project for upgrade and expansions.
• To make feasibility study, Preliminary process safety review, to conduct the HAZOP Session, SIF & SIL as per IEC 61508 & 61511. Safety level determination meetings in coordination with HSHE as per OSHA 1910, Operation & Technical department. HAZOP session to implement the changes in the design and getting technical feedback from technical and operation department by conducting joint session.
• To perform the detailed Engineering after getting design approval from the respective department. to draw layout drawings, isometric drawings, hook up drawings ,P & ID drawings or to modify the existing P & ID, instrument loop drawings (ILDs )and wiring diagrams, PLCs and DCS wiring ,marshaling and JB interconnection drawings, Cable routings, Cable Plan & Schedule & cable tray routings .etc.
• To perform the Engineering and designing by using the available software INtool, PDMS, Flow Calc and other software by the help CAD personnel and department draftsmen.
• To attend the HAZOP Study, process safety review and SIL determination Joint sessions to ensure the SIF.
• To select, finalize & review the material as per approved design. To raise the PR for material and finalizing the contractor for execution. The material review & delivery schedule related to Instrumentation & control Submitted by the EPC Contractors.
• To make the ITB and IFC package and contractor scope of work.
• To finalize the package by determination of Engineering, material and contractor cost as per approves Budget.
• Involved in detail Engineering and designing and design review for SCADA, DCS,ESD ,PLCs, F&G system , analyzer ,telecommunication system and selection of metering system. • As in our organization Project Engineer responsible for engineering, designing and construction supervision up to completion so being Project Engineer Having sufficient experience in the design, procurement, construction, site management and commissioning of major instrumentation and control retrofit or upgrade projects.
• Reviews existing drawings, Standards, Specifications, and recommends appropriate changes. Reviews instrument and control logic & design prepared by vendors/consultants and contractors for existing or new projects.
• To analyze the contractor’s competency compliance to contractual requirement in Project design engineering.
• Evaluates (DCR) Design change request for modifications and de-bottlenecking or MOC request. Provide technical support to the Tender and Technical Committees of various projects for functional area of work.
• To prepare the instrument scope of work and required CAPEX and after ward sending for board approval for different modifications and projects.
• To attend meeting to trouble shoot and investigate complex problem by PHA, HAZOP, RCA, Fish bone analysis in co-ordination with operation, technical and LCS Departments.
• To prepare and execute the contracting strategy, technical evaluation and implement the proposed recommendation of various design contracts and liaise with other departments on overall implementation.
• To make co-ordination & provide feedback on issues between company’s internal department, contractor and venders to meet overall project objective on cost, quality, schedule and safety.
• To develop the project cost estimate, prepare and review specific project budget for approval and assist rightful claims and variations orders for change in works, involving addition and deletion of scope and actual work requirement.
• To attend FAT and SAT and Function & logic test for Yokogawa CS 3000, Honeywell TDC 3000, and Triconex ESD system, Honeywell PESS (ESD), Bentley Nevada 3500.Package system. Etc
• Involved in review & coordinate review by others and acceptance of final Turn over documents documentation.
Project Management:-
• To supervise the day to day project activities to ensure that the assigned project meet their objective & milestone.
• The follow up with project planning to ensure the project strategy.
• To define the objectives, execution strategy, work break down, contracting strategy as per project goals & completion strategy.
• To attend the co-ordination and progress meeting with PMT including Engineers and contractors. Make liaison to have close co-operation of different companies & contractors.
• To supervise & direct the project implementation for verification of bidders who participate in tendering as per scope of work, call for tendering documents consisting of terms of reference, scope, special terms and conditions .payment terms and project master schedule.
• To make co-ordinate between different companies for mobilization & demobilization as per project schedule.
• To control and manage the negotiation and dealings with external engineering consultant & companies to ensure and meet the all technical and commercial requirement.
• To control and monitor the progress and construction activities.
• To ensure the all project awarded as per time schedule and executed on time with agreed quality and cost.
• To give presentation to the Management to show the progress as per project schedule, quality plan, HSE policy & project cost.
• Monitoring the cost and financial expenditures propose and review the changes in order to optimize the cost.
• To prepare project change, variation order and obtain the necessary approval.
• To ensure the necessary arrangement are done to hand over the project site after completion.
• Work out clear strategy for the project covering responsibilities related to construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start up and performance test.
• To ensure the contractors are following the agreed HSE company policy & understand the company’s requirement to commence the job safely Participate in project related HSE meeting & to control monitor project safe man-hours over all & from different contractors. To attend the safety walk to see the quality of onsite safety.
• To Visit the construction site everyday to inspect progress and quality of work in accordance with design and schedule.
• To track the project schedule & material shipment schedule.
• To track the release of payments as per actual work.
• Controls contractor’s performance by verifying daily progress.
• Examines work schedules, manpower/equipment/materials input plans, organization charts, key personnel lists, and other technical documents, and examines them to secure contractor’s readiness and compliance with technical requirements.
• To make Monthly .weekly and daily meetings to have co-ordination between different companies and discipline
• To keep the co-ordination with QC/QC Engineer, to implement the quality plan.
• To supervise the construction activities in association with main EPC contractor.
• Examines work schedules, manpower/equipment/materials input organization charts, key personnel lists, and other technical documents, and examines them to secure contractor’s readiness and compliance with technical requirements
• Taken lead role in Company witness and coordination of different disciplines. Monitors the Sub-Contractor’s work to ensure that project technical requirements are satisfied as per project specifications in co- ordination with EPC contractor.
• Provides input to reviews of Contractor engineering queries.
• To arrange the safety orientation for contractor new staff.
• To co-ordinate with the different contractors to give access to utilities like water ,electricity ,ambulance in case of emergency in case of heat stress or any injury.
• Verifies completion of work as specified in original or modified designs and report to PM.
• Assistance for verification of Contractor’s claimed progress for payment application purposes (invoice evaluation) as per actual progress.
• Follows up the completed project during warranty period for any defect or trouble reported by end users.
